configento.app is a cloud SaaS solution for product configurators, quote configurators and price calculators. This article gives an overview of how the solution works.
How Does configento.app Work?
configento.app runs entirely in the cloud. You set up your configurator in the V3 backend — and then embed it via plugin or HTML snippet in your shop or website.
For your customers the cloud solution is invisible. The configurator appears seamlessly integrated in your webshop or website.
The Two Areas
Service Portal (service.configento.app) — for organisational tasks: services, connections, billing, team.
V3 Backend — for building and managing your configurators. You access it via the MANAGE V3 button in the Service Portal, or directly from the Magento or Shopware plugin.
Integration Types
Webshop Integration (Magento / Shopware)
The configurator is integrated directly into Magento or Shopware via plugin. Customers configure their product and add it directly to the cart. Prices are calculated in real time and passed to the cart.
Supported systems: Magento 1 & 2 (Adobe Commerce), Shopware 5 & 6, WooCommerce
Website Integration (HTML Snippet)
Without a webshop system, the configurator can be embedded via HTML5 snippet into any website — WordPress, TYPO3, Joomla, Jimdo or any other CMS. The result is transmitted to you as an enquiry or quote.
Quote Configurator
Customers configure their product and receive a PDF quote by email via the action button, or the configuration is sent as JSON to your system. Ideal when the price is calculated individually or the sales team accompanies the closing.
Build Configurators via Chat
You can build configurators directly via chat with the integrated AI agent. Describe your product in natural language — the agent creates features, builds price matrices from CSV files and defines rules.
