Not every combination can be built

Technical products have dependencies, and a quotation containing an impossible variant costs you a follow-up call — or worse, a second delivery. This configurator knows the rules: the impossible disappears, the necessary is preselected.

Try these three things

The best way to see the rules is to trigger them. Set the following one after another above:

  • Finish → cleanroom. The side guides lose "none" and "plastic" — neither is permitted in GMP environments. Rather than leaving you with an empty field, the preselection jumps to stainless steel.
  • Drum motor → 1.5 kW. The direct connection disappears: a drive this size needs a soft start. The variable frequency drive is set.
  • Belt width → 1000 mm or speed → 1.0 m/s. The smallest drive drops out — it cannot handle the load.

And the figures keep pace

The two figures at the end of the configurator are not stored numbers but formulas. Throughput follows from belt width, speed and bulk density, the connected load from drive and control. Change the speed and both move with it. In a real configurator these would be your own engineering formulas — the customer then gets not just a price but a sizing.
